Teacher Appreciation Week letter.
What to write.
Name the teacher, name one thing your child still talks about, and say thank you from the family. That lands better than any printed verse.
The messages are sorted by who is signing, so pick your group, use the teacher's name, then sign.

We see the work you put in. Our son notices it too, even when he pretends not to.
Room 4 wanted you to know: you are the teacher they will remember.
You make school feel safe. Thank you for that.
The question
Each writer gets a question.
One at a time, about Sam. They answer in their own words, or write without one.
- The thing Sam did, as you would tell it.
- What it changed for you.
- Something Sam did that they probably thought was small.
- The moment you realised what Sam had done.
- How Sam helped, and not only what they did.
- What would have happened without Sam.
- The moment you knew you had a proper friend in Sam.
- Something Sam did that only a friend would.
- A thing you still laugh about together.
- The time Sam turned up when it mattered.
- Something Sam knew about you before you said it.
- Something Sam did for the family that went unsaid.
- A habit of Sam's that you have caught yourself copying.
- A memory of Sam from when you were younger.
- Something Sam put up with from you.
- Something Sam taught you, mostly by example.
- A small thing Sam did that you noticed and never mentioned.
- The moment you knew.
- Something Sam did this year that made things easier for you.
- A thing about Sam you would not change.
- Something Sam carried that was yours to carry.
- The thing you go to Sam for.
- Something you picked up from working beside Sam.
- A bad day at work that Sam turned round.
- Something a new starter should be told about Sam.
- Something Sam did that made the job feel worth doing.
Or write without one.

From a parent
Thank you for this year. Our daughter comes home excited about reading, and that is you.
We see the work you put in. Our son notices it too, even when he pretends not to.
Thank you for knowing which kids need a quiet word and which need a loud one. You always know.
Our family is grateful for you. Teacher Appreciation Week feels too small for it, but here we are.
You made this a good year. We wanted you to know that from us, not just on a report card.
From the whole class, signed by parents
Room 4 wanted you to know: you are the teacher they will remember.
Every family in this class is grateful. You showed up for all of them, every day.
We pooled this card because one signature was not enough. Thank you for this year.
From all of us: you are the reason our children walk in on Monday morning without complaining.
This class is lucky. We all know it. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week.
From a child
Thank you for not giving up on me when the maths was hard.
You make school feel safe. Thank you for that.
I did not like reading before your class. Now I do. That is because of you.
Thank you for remembering my name on the first day.
You are the best teacher I have had. I hope you know that.
Short
Thank you for this year. It meant more than we said.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week. You deserve it.
Grateful for you. The whole family.
Thank you. From all of us.
We see you. Thank you.
What to leave out
Do not write that teachers are underpaid or overworked. They know. A card that goes there does nothing useful for either of you.
Do not be vague. Every teacher gets three cards this week saying wonderful, and none are kept. Name one thing: the reading project, the patient October, the morning they noticed what nobody else did.
Do not sign without your child's name. Thirty families in that class. The teacher cannot place a card without it, however warm the words are.
Do not suggest this week is the only time you think of them. Gratitude that has been building since September is worth saying out loud.
One card from the whole class
Parents, grandparents, older siblings. One link, and it opens during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Set the date.
Pick a day during Teacher Appreciation Week. The card opens that morning.
- 02
Share the link with parents.
Drop it in the class group chat. Each parent signs once, in any browser, no app needed.
- 03
The teacher reads every name.
Every message signed with a name. They keep it long after the week ends.
Questions
What do you write in a Teacher Appreciation Week letter from parents?
Name the teacher, say one specific thing your child talks about at home, and thank them from the family. One real detail beats a page of general praise.
Can the whole class send one card for Teacher Appreciation Week?
Yes. On tbf, one card goes to every parent via a link and each family adds a message. The teacher gets a single card with every name.
When should you send a Teacher Appreciation Week card?
Teacher Appreciation Week runs the first full week of May in the US, so set the card to open on the Monday and the teacher has it all week.
Somebody has a day coming up.
