What to leave out

Do not make it about the wedding day itself, because the shower is her moment, before the vows, and the card should say something about her.

Do not give marriage advice. She did not ask, and a shower card is not the place to start handing it out.

Do not mention nerves, cold feet, or anything about having doubts. This is a celebration.

Keep it to a sentence or two if you barely know her, since short and warm is better than long and reaching.

One card from the whole table

Friends, family, everyone who came. One link, and it opens when you choose.

  1. 01

    Set the date.

The card opens that morning, before the party or right after.

  2. 02

Share the link with the guests.

Everyone at the shower gets it. Each person writes once, in a browser.

  3. 03

    She reads every name.

Every message signed. She keeps it.

Questions

What do you write in a wedding shower card?

Congratulate her by name, say one thing you love about her, and wish her well for the marriage. That is enough.

Is a wedding shower card the same as a bridal shower card?

Yes, same occasion, different name. The card is for the bride-to-be before the wedding.

Should you mention the groom in a wedding shower card?

Briefly is fine, but the shower is for her. The wedding card is where you write about them both.

Somebody has a day coming up.
